Look, I am sure you can make air fried chicken in an easier way and we rarely give you a list of instructions with our recipes but here’s a long one. However, SO WORTH IT. Daniel, our chef informed me he makes the best fried chicken. So of course I asked if he could make it gluten free, dairy free and air fried. We sat in silence for what seemed like a year. After mulling it over he said he’d attempt it. And guess what, it came out AMAZING. SUPER CRISPY. Gluten free, Dairy free and SO FLAVORFUL. So take that silence and long lists! Let’s do this!

Ingredients

1 whole chicken, (you can have it butchered for you at the butcher at Whole Foods into pieces or you can do it yourself, I had Daniel do it...our chef.

Tea Brine
-
4 quarts of water

8 small black tea bags
-
2 lemons
-
1 cup of coconut sugar

1/2 cup salt
-
1 cinnamon stick
-
5 bay leaves
-
2 TBSP pf black pepper
-
10 cloves of garlic, smashed
-
2 cups of onion
-
2 TBSP of Apple Cider Vinegar

2 TBSP of chicken bouillon

1 quart of ice

Chicken Flour
-
4 cups of Gluten Free Flour
-
2 TBSP salt
-
1 TBSP of pepper
-
1/2 tsp of smoked paprika
-
2 tsp of oregano
-
2 tsp of dried parsley
-
1 tsp of thyme
-
1 TBSP of garlic powder
-
1 TBSP of onion powder
-
2 tsp of chili powder
-
1/2 tsp of coriander
Directions
Tea Brine
Add all ingredients into a 6 quart container except for the water.
Boil the water on the side and then pour into the 6 quart container.
Add ice on top of water.
Let cool off in fridge. 10 minutes.
Chicken Flour
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
NOW LET'S PUT IT TOGETHER!!
Add the chicken pieces to the tea brine and marinate for 2 to 4 hours. (4 hours is optimal, do not marinate for more than 24 hours)
Then flour the chicken after it’s been marinated. Let sit for 15 minutes (or temper is what they. Sit/Temper, same thing)
Fry in air fryer for 45 minutes @ 350 degrees.
Voila. The yummiest chicken ever!
