We use this in so many of our recipes apple pie bars, caramel buttercream, the list goes on. It just comes in handy when you need some caramel and who doesn't really?
1 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup vegan butter (1 stick)
1/4 cup oat milk
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Combine sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan over medium heat and let it come to a boil 1 -2 minutes
Take off heat and then add vanilla and salt, stir gently.
Let it cool and it will thicken.
Side note: Don’t trust myself to caramelize the sugar in a pot which most recipes suggest. So I did it an easy way that worked for me, great flavor and good texture.
