BECAUSE SOMETIMES ALL YOU HAVE IS A CAN OF GARBANZO BEANS... (Part 2 - Crispy Chick Peas)
Sometimes (in times like these) all you have is a can of Garbanzo Beans. Protein - yay! But what do I do with it to make it yummy?
Well folks, luckily I have plenty of time to figure that out for you. Here my favorite snack recipes using Garbanzo Beans in 2 parts for you to try at home!
Let's start with one of my most favorite (and EASY) to make snacks. If you like crunching on something, this one's for you.
1 can of Garbanzo Beans
Salt & Pepper
Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, or Avocado Oil
Seasonings of your choice
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Drain your can of Garbanzo Beans, rinse, and completely dry using paper towels or a dish towel.
Pick out any extra shells that are flailing around (but don't worry about getting every one it's not a big deal).
Toss the beans with your choice of oil and salt & pepper.
Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes until they are crispy to your liking. Toss every 10 minutes or so to get all sides crispy!
Take out of the oven and add your seasonings while hot (for more crunchy) or cooled (for crunchy/chewy goodness)! Here are 3 of my favorite spice mixes:
Cheesey" Herb; Nutritional Yeast, Garlic Powder,
