Savory Tomato Tart
I’ve been playing around with pastry dough as much as I can since I found this gluten free pastry dough. Wanted to try something with heirloom tomatoes because they are all over the farmers market right now. So why not try a savory tart, am I right? Super easy and yummy.
1 sheet of gluten free pastry dough, defrosted
1 tablespoon of garlic minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 -4 heirloom tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup of basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375.
Roll out pastry dough on a sheet tray
In a small bowl add your olive oil and garlic.
Brush your pastry dough with the garlic/oil mixture until thoroughly coated.
Top with your sliced tomatoes.
On top add your basil.
Bake for 30 -35 minutes, until the edges of the pastry dough are browned and crisp.
Let cool and serve!
